Profile: Gunther Corbett was once a wealthy young man living in the Angel Kingdom of eden on Avalon, 3,000 years ago. But his attitude darkened towards the rulers of Avalon, including King Alexander and his young son, Dylan.
Gunther betrayed the Angel Kingdom, and through dark power revealed to them the opposite side of the Holy Grail, called the Dark Chalice, which instead of Restoring life, could consume it. Gunther was eventually overwhelmed by the Chalice, and Darkness took him.
Dylan and Aidan's mother, Kassandera saved the soulless youth, and managed to bring Gunther slowly back by causing the Grail to become the Clouded Vessel, it's third form. Gunther however was beyond hope, his soul eaten away, Kassandera stopped further erosion by placing him in a state of stasis. In present day, Gunther was reawakened along with the others, and lived apart from the other Soul Fighters, hating the view they had on things. Eventually, he heeded the call of darkness and seduced 4 other Soul Fighters into helping him destroy everything in their path. They were Adam Wallace, Troy Neilson, Hannah and Jade. The other Soul Fighters were no match for them, and were defeated. But when Gunther was ready to let Darkness consume him, Dylan rallied the others and together they brought Gunther back from the brink.
Now a loner again, Gunther avoided the others, and eventually ended up helping Ares, and concealed his true power.
When the Demon Tchernabog began sending minions to earth to attack humans, Gunther had horrible visions of destruction, and returned to fight the threat, though he did it solo, claiming the others were too pathetic and optimistic. He fell in love with Trista, a girl with ties to his past, and who was also battling the darkness.
When Gunther went to destroy Tchernabog, Who was killing everyone, he claimed it would be the end of him, since Gunther had no soul for the Grail to resurrect. And this was his only atonement. Dylan, who was injured from the battle, chased Gunther into the vortex where Tchernabog awaited, and managed to turn the fight around, enabling them to seal the demonic force away. He returned carrying Gunther's lifeless body, and with the Grail managed to bring him back, despite his claim of having no soul.
Instead of being grateful, Gunther and Aidan both attacked Dylan, saying he'd put everyone at risk, but the light of the Grail protected Dylan. and Gunther admitted it had all ended well.
He still returns from time to time to protect everyone, and was last seen with Trista. His true motives remain unknown.
He appeared in the Dream World to "wake" everyone up, along with three other fighters called Plague, War and Famine. The others considered him an enemy, not understanding his motives.
Unable Random Facts: 1. Gunther can merge forms with Aidan, into a being called Carnival.
2. Gunther is arguably the most powerful saint fighter in existence on G.E. (Though Dylan and Aidan are both considered to be stronger in other ways, as are other Saints)
3. Gunther is the first of the G.E. saints to reach Saint level on his own.
4. Gunther is usually accompanied by ravens or crows. so if you see a crow in a strange place, watch out!
5. Gunther's goatee looks like a spade on playing cards.
A few things. 1. VERY Hotaru-ish, with the "messiah of Silence" thing, but also remids me of the Nemeisisians/Queen Beryl and their attitude toward their rulers. 2. Is this the Tchernabo from Fantasia? 3. Who did he convert? and 4. Why is he a Horseman of Apocalypse? Maybe Saint Fighter Apocalypse....

1. yes, i suppose he is like Hotaru in some ways. 2. Tchernabog is the name for an evil god, so maybe they are the same. I think that one is spelled Chernabog though, I can't remember. 3. By convert, I guess you mean who were the soul fighters who joined him when he became our enemy? They were Adam Wallace (soul fighter metal), Jade Li (Soul Fighter Time), Troy Neilson (Soul Fighter Gravity) and Hannah (I can't remember her last name) Soul Fighter Emotion. 4. I don't know if you'd call him a horseman...but the names they had during the Dream Saga were very much suggesting that. His true purpose in the Dream World was solely to awaken the Saint/Soul fighters who were snared in the Dream that Dylan fell into. He also seemed to want to kill Aleron, whom had no real existence in the real world, according to Gunther.
