Jinjur of Oz

What?!!! You don't know who Jinjur is? I guess that means you don't read the Oz books.
Put down that Twi-light, Harry Potter poop and whatever else is popular these days and read some real Fantasy.


Jinjur wanted to put a woman on the throne of Emerald City since in her words, Oz had been ruled by men for too long, (Pastoria, The Wizard: Oscar Diggs and the Scarecrow.)
Seeing that the Scarecrow was an easy target, Jinjur began a revolt in Oz leading an army of women and storming the Emerald City, forcing the men to surrender and the Scarecrow to flee, setting herself up as Queen.

Jinjur foolishly sided with the witch Mombi against Glinda, and lost the throne to Princess Ozma.
However, although she was selfish and greedy for the luxurious life as a Queen, Jinjur was happy that at last a woman sat on the throne.
She moved back to the Munchkin Country and married, but never lost her fiery temper. It was implied she even gave her husband a black eye in the book "Ozma of oz."
She owns a ranch where she spends her days gardening and painting.



Jinjur facts:

1.In a short story printed by Asimov magazine, Jinjur's husband is named "Luke".

2. Yes, Jinjur is a Munchkin, and no, the Munchkins in Oz are not tiny little people, although some in the eastern part are children sized, most Munchkins seem to be normal sized humans(Ojo, Ree Alla, Nunkie, Kiki etc.)

3. Her fear of mice is so strong she runs from them.

4. She uses long knitting needles as weapons.

5. She threatened to utterly destroy the heroes of oz while they were in her custody.
But now that she's reformed, she is good friends with the Scarecrow.

6. In the Computer Game, Emerald City Noir, Jinjur is cruel and vicious towards the player character, and has fought hard for Oz.
